

Pedro is a limited release created to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the first whisky release by Brewery & Distillery Het Anker. This edition underwent pre-aging in a blend of Bourbon and Anker barrels, followed by nearly 2 years of finishing in American oak Vermouth barrels. These were previously used for aging Spanish Vermouth made from Ximenéz grapes. According to legend, Peter Siemens (known in Spanish as Pedro Ximinéz), a soldier of Emperor Charles V, is said to have brought these grapes from the German Rhine Valley to Spain. This floral whisky offers a slightly sweet flavor with a fruity finish.
